Terry Pahl
Terry's running potential initially surfaced during his high
school junior year where, as a 1st year cross country team member, he
reached the NJ state level of competition. Heel bruises during his senior
year (darned Converse running flats - a thin, hard rubber sole with a
canvas top) hampered any further high school improvement. Then came the
run less years, many run less years, including 4 at the Univ. Of Delaware,
where basketball, softball and dirt bike racing were at the forefront. Not
until the Fall of 2000, when he started running with his daughter who was
conditioning for field hockey, did he think about competing again. Minor,
nagging injuries led to cross training which led him to his 1st triathlon
- Sunset Sprint 2001. He became intrigued! Even at his "advanced" age,
Terry has continued to improve at this "new" sport. Joining T3 has helped
keep him motivated and focused on improvement. Terry owns and runs a
plumbing, heating, A/C business in his spare time.
